FIBERGLASS STRUCTURAL PRODUCTS:
AIMS' molded fiberglass stair treads are offered in two varieties: the DeltaTread and the DeltaGrate FabTread. DeltaTread stair treads are cut from DeltaTread panels measuring 22-1/4” x 10’-0”. The mesh of the DeltaTread is 1” x 6” with double bearing bars at the 6” intervals so that any stair tread with a length that is a multiple of 6” is always banded.
DELTAGRATE MOLDED STAIR TREADS
The DeltaTread panel design results in an efficient utilization ratio, i.e., 8 banded stair treads 2’-6” long can be cut from the DeltaTread panel with zero drop. These panels come with either a meniscus top non-skid or a gritted top non-skid.
The OSHA required non-skid nosing, built in to the leading edge of the tread for the first 1-1/4”, is always gritted, and is the same color as the rest of the panel.
The DeltaGrate FabTread is a regular 1 1/2” thick x 1-1/2” square mesh grating with a fabricated structural nosing. All of AIMS stair treads, both the DeltaTread or the DeltaGrate FabTread, are available in all resins. And don’t forget about our fluorescent resins which are a big nighttime safety bonus!
DELTASPAN PULTRUDED STAIR TREADS
AIMS offers pultruded stair treads to accommodate applications where a wider support span is required. DeltaTread Pultruded Stair Treads provide a safe and cost effective alternative to conventional steel stair treads. This durable product has a gritted, non-skid surface and solid gritted nosing. In addition, DeltaTread is corrosion resistant with low maintenance requirements to provide a long service life.
COVERED STAIR TREADS
AIMS' covered stair treads will improve the appearance and functionality of unattractive stairs. Our treads are lightweight and easily installed. The gritted surface provides a safe, slip resistant surface. Corrosion resistance and low maintenance allows for a long service life.
STAIR TREADS COVERS
Covering steps and landing areas with AIMS' stair tread covers will greatly improve safety for any stair system. Our covers feature a unique, carbon grit particle surface embedded in the fiberglass composite substrate. They are easy to install and provide aesthetics and long-term peace of mind.
Using a combination of adhesive and mechanical fastenings, AIMS stair covers can be readily applied to most any surface, including wood, steel, and steel checker plate. In addition to safety advantages, AIMS stair covers instantly improve the look of warped, chipped, and weathered steps.
WATER PARK STAIR TREADS
AIMS stair treads are ideal for water parks, as they provide slip resistance for bare feet due to an aquatic grit that is applied to the surface. They are light weight, corrosion resistant, long-lasting, and require little to no maintenance. Unlike conventional metals, AIMS products eliminate the rusting and corrosion problems associated with traditional materials. EASY TO INSTALL, EASY TO MAINTAIN
There’s no need for heavy equipment or expensive tools since AIMS handrail and ladder systems are less than half the weight of steel. Lighter weight means lower shipping costs and less manpower for installation. With no scraping, sandblasting, or painting required, they are virtually maintenance free.
STRONG AND DURABLE
Pound for pound, fiberglass is stronger than steel. Plus, when designed to certain load-response criteria, FRP material will weigh one-third to one-half of its steel counterpart. Our handrails and ladders get their strength from a high percentage of glass within the laminate, providing durability, high unidirectional strength, and stiffness.
NON-CONDUCTIVE AND FIRE RETARDENT
AIMS handrails and ladders are electronically and thermally nonconductive, and are fire retardant for a safer work environment. Our products meet the self-extinguishing requirements of ASTM E-84, and have a Class 1 flame spread rating of 25 or less. Because our systems are non-metallic, electromagnetic and radio wave frequencies are completely unaffected.
