GENERAL
Incumbent will be expected to transport self to and from work daily by own means. Work hours begin at 7:00 and typically end at 3:30. Overtime without notice may be required. Incumbent must arrive at work early enough gather tools, stage work area and begin productive work by 7:00. Lunch is typically taken at 11:30 for 30 minutes and Incumbent must promptly resume work at noon. Incumbents must supply their own food. No personal phone calls will be made or messages delivered during working hours, except during lunch or breaks. Soft drink vending machine is available for use during lunch and breaks. Incumbents will not be allowed to take food or drinks to work stations. Likewise, smoking is not permitted except during designated breaks in designated locations.
Prompt arrival and return to work is expected. Tardiness will not be tolerated. One verbal warning will be given. One written warning will be given. The third event is subject to further disciplinary action. Absenteeism without proper notice is likewise not tolerated.
Safe work performance is expected. Supervision will insist upon safe work procedures. Supervision will spot check Incumbents for compliance. \ATXht75 One verbal warning will be given. One written warning will be given. The third event is termination.
SUMMARY
Facilitates cutting, trimming, sanding, finishing, painting, cleaning, assembly and disassembly of fabricated fiberglass (FRP) structures. Includes palletizing, banding and preparation for shipping customer FRP products by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed by supervision.
Incumbent assists others with the mechanical off-loading of FRP structural shapes, grating and assorted hardware from truck to staging area. Place 4x4 timber between pallets to facilitate future handling.
Incumbent assists others with the mechanical loading of FRP systems for shipment to customer.
Incumbent is to assist with truck loading/off-loading by serving as direction flag person.
Incumbent is to use broom or vacuum system to keep work area clean. Incumbent is to manually pickup larger pieces of drop material and debris.
Incumbent is to assist Shipping & Receiving personnel with the metal strapping of FRP products. Straight, secure banding is essential to safe transportation.
Incumbent dismantles existing crates/pallets and removes nails and other metal from wooden parts to salvage material. Incumbent is to assist others with the building of wood crates/pallets for shipment of other company products as needed.
As needed and directed, the incumbent loads and unloads materials from trucks and moves material to designated areas.
Incumbent is to perform other duties and tasks as directed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Incumbent must be able to speak, read and write English fluently and clearly.
Incumbent must possess the skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and supervision of the organization is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Incumbent must have the ability to add and subtract using whole numbers. Likewise, incumbent must be able to use a tape measure and/or ruler effectively.
REASONING ABILITY
Incumbent must be able to follow instructions in both verbal and written form. He/she must be able to use common sense to identify situations that require supervisory guidance. Incumbent must be aggressive and assertive to ensure that questions are resolved before errors are made. He/she must not be fearful of offering suggestions to supervision to improve production or quality.
